Introduction
The counting Sensor using ultrasonic technology is mainly used for counting industrial products. To identify whether an object is passing through, each sampling value is compared with the stored reference value and is correspondingly indicated as either no object passing or object passing; the stored value can also be manually corrected. The ultrasonic counting Sensor is not limited by the vibration, material, or color of the detected object, and is generally applied in various industries that require product counting.

3. Product Features

4. Product Principle
A high-frequency ultrasonic transmitter emits an ultrasonic beam in the air. If no object passes through, the sound wave is received by the ultrasonic receiver through the air, and the received signal is very strong. If an object passes through, the sound wave causes the object to vibrate, which in turn generates a very small sound wave on the other side of the object. This small sound wave is received by the ultrasonic receiver, and the received signal is relatively weak. The ultrasonic signal processor determines whether an object has passed by comparing the received signal with a stored value.

5. Installation Method

The ultrasonic counting sensor can be installed perpendicular to the product. When detecting products, the swaying of the product will not affect the system function.
When the installation distance between the two probes is 40mm to 120mm, the system installation angle is unrestricted. When the installation distance between the two probes is farther(e.g., greater than 120mm), it is recommended to install the system at a 27° incline for detection.

6. Precautions
A. The controller housing must be reliably grounded!!!
B. The distance between the transmitter and receiver must be at least 40mm and can be up to 120mm. Precise axial alignment (±1°) is very important during installation. If the transmitter and receiver axes are not aligned, working performance will decrease.
C. Recommended installation distance:80mm(±10mm).
D. Calibration:
When product misdetection occurs, e.g., a passing product is misdetected as no product passing, then when no product is passing, press and hold the L key. After the display flashes, release the key to complete calibration.
E. Value adjustment:
When the number of detected products differs from the actual product count, use the M key or R key to add or subtract, so that the display value matches the actual product count.
F. Reset:
If the product is in an abnormal state, try pressing and holding the L key and M key simultaneously. After the display flashes, release both keys at the same time to reset the product.
G. Clear to zero:
When you want to restart counting, press and hold the M key and R key simultaneously. After the display flashes, release both keys at the same time, and the value is cleared to zero.
H. Display data switching:
When you want to view the counting rounds, press and hold the L key and R key simultaneously. After the display flashes, release both keys at the same time to view the counting rounds(at this time, the decimal point is lit).

To return to view the current count value, press and hold the L key and R key simultaneously again. After the display flashes, release both keys at the same time to view the current count value(at this time, the decimal point is off).

Total count value = number of revolutions × 1000000 + current count value
For example, with the digital tube display above, the total count value = 25 × 1000000 + 8856 = 25008856
