A Key Tool for Sponge City Construction: What You Should Know About Manhole Flow Meters [Dayu Electronics]
Urban construction relies on the protection of Doppler manhole flow meters.
As we all know, the beauty of a city depends on the daily hard work of sanitation workers, which ensures that we can enjoy a clean and tidy living environment every day. In recent years, the vigorous development of sponge city construction projects has made people realize that in our daily living environment, beneath our feet, on major streets, alleys, or within our residential areas, the manhole covers installed everywhere are something we see every day. Manholes are outlets designed to ensure the discharge of domestic sewage, and usually no one pays special attention to them. However, when the flood season arrives, due to excessive water flow, some manholes may become clogged because of poor drainage, or even emit large amounts of foul-smelling sewage that spills out and spreads around the discharge outlets or roads, causing inconvenience for people traveling. So, how can we solve this troubling problem?

The ultrasonic manhole flow meter produced by Dayu Electronics is specifically designed and manufactured for such environments. It not only helps monitor sewage discharge volume but also uses 4G wireless remote transmission to upload data to the customer's cloud platform, allowing customers to collect data in real time and receive early warnings when drainage anomalies occur.
Below, we can refer to the on-site installation photos we recently helped a customer with.

This flow meter, used to measure rainwater or sewage flow in sewers or partially filled pipes, does not require cutting the pipe to install an inline sensor as with electromagnetic flow meters, nor does it require a flow diversion device, nor does it require the installation of a fixed weir or flume to control water flow from a fixed outlet.
The product consists of two parts: a transmitter and a sensor.

The entire sewer flow meter is installed underground, transmitting data to the backend via mobile network. Each part is connected with IP68 waterproof connectors. If any part malfunctions, simply unplug the aviation plug and replace that individual part. The battery box (optional accessory) is only used when on-site power is unavailable. The effective battery life is inversely proportional to the flow meter's operating time, wireless transmission time, and the power controller's operating duration.
