Dayu Chief Engineer Reveals: The Installation Improvement Journey of Rail Transducers Along the Baoji Railway Line
In April 2024, a warm spring breeze carrying the fragrance of cherry blossoms swept through Baoji. A team led by the Chief Engineer of Fuzhou Dayu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Fuzhou Dayu) visited a railway section in a county of Baoji, Shaanxi, to conduct rail fracture detection tests.

During the summer peak travel period of 2023, China Railway transported 830 million passengers. In 2021, China Railway transported a total of 2.61 billion passengers throughout the year. Therefore, the safe operation of railways is of paramount importance. This on-site visit to the customer's location aimed to address two key challenges: first, the signal issues of the rail transducer; second, the installation challenges at the actual rail operation site.

After two days of on-site surveying and practical testing, we identified the critical issue causing weak signals, and through technical improvements, we can ensure stable signal transmission. Additionally, based on on-site tests, we discovered that there is a better installation method for rail detection transducers that facilitates stable signal propagation.

Through this on-site technical monitoring, we discovered that rails not only suffer from fractures; over time, they can also undergo bending and deformation. Both fractures and deformations can lead to unpredictable safety accidents. Therefore, it is crucial to conduct regular rail inspections.
