The site is more than 5 kilometers away from the backend, requiring data transmission via mobile phone GPRS wireless. Additionally, there is no power supply available on site, so the device must be battery-operated. After technical discussions with Fuzhou Dayu Electronics, a wireless ultrasonic manhole level gauge was selected, which can operate in sewage wells and is resistant to submersion.
