In industrial applications, ultrasonic sensors offer high reliability and strong versatility. Because ultrasonic measurement methods work reliably under almost all conditions, even very complex tasks can achieve millimeter-level accuracy in object detection or level measurement.

A dual-channel air ultrasonic sensor is a type of sensor commonly used to measure the condition of a pipe's inner wall. It determines the pipe wall condition by transmitting and receiving ultrasonic signals. This sensor typically consists of two ultrasonic transducers: one for transmitting signals and one for receiving signals.

The transmitter of the dual-channel air ultrasonic sensor emits ultrasonic signals toward the pipe's inner wall. These signals reflect off the wall and are then received by the receiver. The receiver measures the time difference of the signals, which can be used to determine the distance to the pipe wall. If the inner wall is smooth, the time difference will be small; if the wall has protrusions or recesses, the time difference will increase.

Ultrasound has a strong ability to penetrate liquids and solids, especially in solids that are opaque to sunlight, where it can penetrate depths of several tens of meters. When ultrasound encounters impurities or interfaces, it produces significant reflections, forming echo signals.
