What Is an Ultrasonic Open Channel Flow Meter? | Dayu Electronics
Ultrasonic open channel flow meter is a new intelligent flow system based on the velocity-water level algorithm, incorporating advanced velocity measurement instruments and water level measurement instruments to ensure accurate flow speed measurement and calculation. Depending on the channel width and measurement accuracy requirements, it employs a single-probe or multi-probe mathematical model for open channel flow measurement. The open channel flow meter is a non-contact measurement device that can operate in harsh environments. Typical applications include urban water supply intake channels, cooling water intake and discharge channels for thermal power plants, wastewater treatment inflow and outflow channels, industrial wastewater discharge channels, hydraulic engineering projects, and agricultural irrigation channels.

1. Can measure flow in partially filled pipes (circular, egg-shaped, or other irregular cross-section pipes).
2. Can measure flow in channels (circular, rectangular, or other irregular cross-section channels).
3. Can measure flow in natural rivers and streams.
4. Can measure flow in wastewater discharge channels or pipes (sewers).

5. Can measure forward and reverse flow velocity and flow rate.
6. Provides instantaneous flow rate and cumulative flow values.
7. Sensors can operate long-term in harsh field and wastewater conditions.

8. Optional SMS or GPRS wireless module for remote telemetry.
9. Sensor housing is made of polycarbonate with an IP68 protection rating.
10. Built-in automatic temperature compensation.
11. Adjustable blanking zone to shield against interference signals near the probe.
