Kitchen Waste Sedimentation Tank (Level) Monitoring at a Large Hotel in Downtown Shanghai [Dayu Electronics]

Project Overview: This project involves monitoring the level of the kitchen waste sedimentation tank at a large hotel in downtown Shanghai. The goal is to support the environmental protection department's effective management of kitchen waste recycling and treatment for catering businesses, enabling better and more timely recycling in accordance with national standards. By implementing real-time monitoring of kitchen waste sedimentation tank levels across catering businesses in downtown Shanghai, the actual level data from the sedimentation tanks can be transmitted to the hotel's equipment room management PLC automatic control cabinet, triggering high-level alarms and enabling timely responses.

Product Selection: Based on on-site inspection and the owner's requirements, this project selected the integrated ultrasonic level transmitter manufactured by Fuzhou Dayu Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. to achieve front-end measurement and transmission of liquid level, empty height, and ambient temperature.

Note: The on-site waste tanks are typically 120mm x 80mm x 100mm (length x width x height). The waste surface has a small amount of oil foam, and the tank is covered with a lid, resulting in slight moisture evaporation.

Due to the above factors, and to prevent ultrasonic measurement from being affected by the medium and environment, the level transmitter needed a larger range. An 8-meter range was selected (the actual on-site range is 1 meter). The probe is made of PTFE anti-corrosion material (to resist slight corrosiveness from volatile gases). A hole was opened in the center of the lid for vertical installation (to avoid ultrasonic waves reflecting off the side walls). This ensures measurement accuracy in the future (as shown in the figure).
