How Should a Low-Power Manhole Level Gauge Be Installed? [Dayu Electronics]
Users reported that the low-power manhole level gauge could not measure level and flow because the probe was too close to the well wall, and wires below the emission surface were obstructing it.

How should a low-power manhole level gauge be installed? The low-power manhole level gauge is suitable for environments with inconvenient power supply, such as sewer manhole level monitoring, reservoir level monitoring, and natural river channel water level monitoring. The total range of this product is 10 meters. When installed in narrow manholes, try to avoid uneven areas such as steps and stone platforms as much as possible.

1. The base station near the installation point must support the telecom NB-IoT network properly.
2. If installing in sewage wells or stormwater wells, the ultrasonic level gauge must be installed centrally, provided there are no obstacles.
3. For the NB-IoT SIM card, please select the telecom IoT card of the city where the installation point is located. If a non-local NB-IoT card is used, there is a risk of being blocked by the local telecom network.

Installation Methods:
1. Ultrasonic Level Gauge
The ultrasonic level gauge has a range of 10 meters and a beam angle of 18°. During installation, try to avoid obstacles within the radiation radius.
2. Submersible Level Gauge
The submersible level gauge has a range of 1.5 meters. Its installation position must be at least 0.7 meters below the ultrasonic level gauge, or greater than 0.7 meters.
3. Antenna
The matched antenna is a waterproof antenna for sewers. If no waterproof requirement exists, it can be replaced with a standard antenna. When installing the antenna, if the manhole cover is concrete, simply place the antenna close to the cover. If the cover is metal, it is recommended to dig a groove near the cover and bury the antenna in the groove.
4. Main Unit
The main unit is fixed in a free manner.
