Project Background: Flow monitoring project in an irrigation district in Guangdong Province

On-site conditions: Water from the main canal flows downstream through a discharge culvert pipe. After the downstream outlet, there are nursery plants and irregular channels that are not suitable for installation. This is the only feasible location, as shown below: The discharge culvert has a diameter of 260 mm, is a regular circle, and has good flow conditions.
Customer requirements: Measure the discharge flow (instantaneous and cumulative) through the culvert pipe, and transmit the data via RTU to the management center to provide data support for water volume billing.

Product selection: Based on the actual site conditions, we recommended the compact Doppler Z-type 0°.

● Easy maintenance: During water supply periods, the Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter probe is fully submerged at the bottom, reducing the risk of external damage; during no-flow periods, an optional protective cover can be used for probe protection.

Installation precautions:
1. For the compact Z-type, the probe should be parallel to the bottom at 0°.
2. The water level should be at least 5 cm above the sensor top, and there should be no obstructions within 2 meters in front (water level higher than 5 cm). As shown in the figure below:
