Dayu Electronics Compact Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Meter—Also Measures at Low Water Levels
To measure the flow velocity in sewers, wastewater wells, and stormwater wells, ultrasonic Doppler flow meters are commonly used. However, traditional ultrasonic Doppler flow meters can be up to about 80 mm in height, requiring relatively high water levels for measurement.
In practice, however, low water level conditions are frequently encountered, and traditional Doppler flow meters cannot meet the measurement requirements in such cases. To address market needs, our company has developed a compact ultrasonic Doppler flow meter that solves the challenge of low water level measurement.
Ourcompact ultrasonic Doppler flow meter is available in two models: Z-type and S-type (see table below).

Compact ultrasonic Doppler flow meter—Z-type (horizontal emission)
Minimum water level for Z-type: Since the Doppler flow meter has a tilt angle of 0°, it can measure as long as the water level is at least 5 cm above the bottom of the sensor. However, a straight section of at least 2 m in front of the sensor must be ensured, with no obstructions.

Compact ultrasonic Doppler flow meter—S-type (inclined emission)
Minimum water level for S-type: The water level must be at least 22 cm above the bottom of the sensor for measurement, and a straight section of at least 2 m in front of the sensor must be ensured, with no obstructions.
