Dayu Doppler Flowmeter Selected for Sewer Flow Monitoring in Yangxi Street, Jiande, Hangzhou
The sewer flow monitoring project in Yangxi Street, Jiande, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, is powered by a solar system and transmits data wirelessly to our company's wireless data receiving software platform, allowing for convenient viewing and downloading of data at any time.

In the ultrasonic Doppler flow measurement method, the ultrasonic transmitter serves as a fixed sound source, and solid particles moving with the fluid act as "observers" that have relative motion with the sound source. They merely reflect the incident ultrasonic waves back to the receiver. The frequency difference between the transmitted and received sound waves is the Doppler shift caused by the motion of solid particles in the fluid. Since this frequency difference is proportional to the fluid velocity, the flow velocity can be determined by measuring the frequency difference, thereby obtaining the fluid flow rate. Therefore, this method is suitable for measuring dirty water and slurries with high impurity content, such as urban sewage and sludge.

Key points for on-site survey:
1. Water quality category of the water body to be measured.
2. Approximate data of parameters to be measured (COD, turbidity, ammonia nitrogen, flow velocity, water level, etc.).
3. Historical water level variation range.
4. Depth of the inspection well, diameter, and shape of the well bottom at the measurement point.
5. Shape and diameter of the horizontal pipe where the flowmeter is to be installed.
6. Water depth: distance from the well opening to the water surface, and distance from the well opening to the water bottom.
7. Material of the well wall and well cover.
8. GPRS signal strength (for reference).
9. Each point should be sketched based on photos, videos, and actual dimensions.
