Dayu integrated ultrasonic level meter measures water level in front of sluice gate
Integrated ultrasonic level meter with a 40m measurement range was used to measure the water level in front of a sluice gate. The customer reported that after installation, the measured water level appeared too stable; the actual water level fluctuated around 0.5m, while the instrument indicated only a few centimeters of fluctuation. After troubleshooting by Dayu technical staff, it was found that the installation location was not ideal, causing the probe to detect signals from the platform below. There was a platform about 7m below the original installation position, with a width of about 1m, and the mounting bracket extended 1.2m outward. At this position, the signal reflected from the platform was stronger than that from the bottom water level, making erroneous measurements likely. After communication with the on-site customer, the wiring was reconfigured, the installation position was adjusted to align with the lower platform, and the bracket was extended to about 2.5m.
