Split-type Ultrasonic Open Channel Flowmeter Applied in Open Channel Flow Monitoring Project
Project Overview: This project is a high-standard farmland water intake metering and monitoring project in an irrigation district in Hubei Province, aiming to achieve water usage metering and management within the irrigation district. The project site involves newly constructed branch and lateral canals, which are numerous and widely distributed. The current phase is Phase I, focusing on establishing basic flow measurement, while Phase II will build upon Phase I to enable remote water management. In terms of product selection, the customer was provided with split-type ultrasonic open channel flowmeters, which are easy to install and highly expandable, accommodating both current and long-term project requirements.
Project Scale: Split-type ultrasonic open channel flowmeters were installed on 153 canals to enable on-site viewing of instantaneous flow rate and cumulative water consumption. A solar power supply system provides DC12V power to the ultrasonic open channel flowmeters. Each flowmeter is equipped with a reserved 4-20mA/RS485 interface.
