In an agricultural irrigation canal environment, what products from Dayu Electronics can measure water flow without obstructing the water flow?
Since the water flow cannot be obstructed, traditional rectangular weirs and Parshall flumes are not feasible. The solution is to use the Dayu Electronics Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Meter. The sensor is placed in the water to measure water level and flow velocity, and the channel width and height are set on the main unit to calculate the flow rate.
During installation, the flow sensor must face directly into the incoming water flow without deviation. There should be a straight channel section in front of the sensor that is 10 times the channel width to ensure stable water flow, and a straight channel section behind the sensor that is 5 times the channel width to maintain stable flow. The sensor should not be installed flush against the wall; it is generally placed at a distance of 15-20% of the total channel width from the side. It is also necessary to ensure that the minimum water level is at least 20 cm above the sensor for proper measurement.
