Dayu Electronics: Application of Ultrasonic Level Meter in Shanghai Collection Well
Shanghai Baosteel Group used Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level meter and found that high-level data was sometimes inaccurate. Dayu Electronics technicians arrived at the installation site, where the customer had used a 5-meter range probe in an environment of about 1 meter, resulting in an excessively strong signal, with the highest water level about 30cm from the installation position.
The measurement error occurred because the ultrasonic level meter entered the blind zone. Since several ultrasonic level meters were already installed and the installation height could not be increased, the only option was to have the customer lower the maximum water level of the pool so that the highest water level would not enter the meter's blind zone.
Dayu Electronics recommends that customers ensure the actual working range matches the instrument during future product selection.
