How Should Dayu Electronic Ultrasonic Level Meters Be Installed in Drainage Wells?

Drainage wells generally have narrow shafts and openings, and the well walls are uneven, making measurement with Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level meters very difficult. This problem can be solved by installing a complete guide tube. Note that after the sensor is placed inside the adapter tube, the blind zone will increase by approximately 50–100%, so this enlargement factor must be taken into account.

Therefore, when using a guide tube, if the original probe blind zone is 0.50 m, it will increase to 0.75–1.00 m after being placed inside the adapter tube.

Ordinary wells (including water source wells and deep wells) generally have small diameters. For the guide tube, a complete piece of PVC, PR, PP, or other plastic pipe with a smooth inner wall can be used, as well as stainless steel pipes with smooth inner walls such as 304 or 316.

Note: It is not allowed to join two or more pipes together, because such connections can generate strong reflection signals at the pipe joints. In addition, the inner wall of the guide tube must be free of large particle deposits.
