Dayu Electronics: What is the Working Blind Zone of an Ultrasonic Level Meter?

The blind zone of a Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level meter is like the blind spot in human vision. A visual blind spot refers to an area that the line of sight cannot reach, whereas for an ultrasonic level meter, the area where ultrasonic waves cannot reach and reflect back is called the measurement blind zone, or simply the blind zone.

Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level meters have different blind zones depending on the measuring range. A smaller range results in a smaller blind zone, while a larger range results in a larger blind zone. Generally, the blind zone ranges from 30 cm to 50 cm. Therefore, the blind zone must always be taken into account when installing an ultrasonic level meter. In special applications where a very small blind zone is required, a low blind zone ultrasonic level meter can be considered, typically offering a blind zone of only 4-6 cm. However, its measuring range is relatively small, typically 0.6 m. In many level measurement applications, due to space constraints and installation limitations, ultrasonic level meters with very small blind zones are needed.
