How should the Dayu Electronic ultrasonic sludge level meter be used to measure the sludge height in the middle of a sedimentation tank?
All the sewage tanks on site are represented by above-ground tanks. The tank diameter is 3500mm, and the height is 4000mm. The water quality is relatively turbid, and flocculants are added to accelerate sedimentation. There is a thick pipe in the middle of the tank for the sewage to flow in, and there is a return pump at the bottom of the tank for pumping out the settled sludge.
For the split-type ultrasonic sludge level meter, the main unit is placed beside the sedimentation tank, while the sensor is inside the tank. A pipe is used, with a G3/4 internal thread machined inside, to connect with the thread on top of the sensor. A hole is opened in the inclined tube filter layer inside the sedimentation tank, and the sensor is inserted into the tank until it extends out from the bottom of the inclined tube layer. The sensor must be immersed in water.
If the maximum sludge level is set to 1.0 meter for the pump to start removing sludge, then, because the sensor has a blind zone, the sensor should be fixed at a height of 2.0 meters.
If the maximum sludge level is set to 0.5 meters for the pump to start removing sludge, then, because the sensor has a blind zone, the sensor should be fixed at a height of 1.5 meters.
It is essential to ensure a distance of 1.0 meters between the sensor's emitting surface and the highest point of the sludge.
