What Flowmeter to Use for Sewage Pipe Conditions
There are many common types of drainage flowmeters, among which the ultrasonic Doppler flowmeter is quite common.
Dayu Electronics' ultrasonic Doppler flowmeter is a non-contact instrument that measures flow by detecting the effect of fluid flow on ultrasonic beams. It can measure the flow of large-diameter media and is also suitable for measuring media that are difficult to contact or observe, such as in large pipe sections and river channels.
Municipal drainage flowmeters (Doppler sewer flowmeters) can not only perform effectively in urban drainage systems but can also be used in various industries such as steel, metallurgy, water supply and drainage, petroleum, chemical, food, and agricultural irrigation.
Working principle of Dayu Electronics' Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter: It uses the velocity-area method to measure flow. An ultrasonic velocity sensor measures the flow velocity V, and a pressure-type water level gauge measures the water level H. With the channel parameters pre-set in the controller, the controller automatically calculates the cross-sectional area S based on the water level. The flow formula for the fluid is: Q = V × S, where V ---- flow velocity, S ---- cross-sectional area, Q --- instantaneous flow. Due to the velocity-area method, it is suitable for channels of any shape.
