Application of Ultrasonic Level Meter in Jiangsu Liyang Chemical Plant
Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level meter is simple and convenient to install, features non-contact measurement, and is unaffected by the viscosity, density, and other properties of the liquid. A chemical plant in Liyang, Jiangsu, used Dayu Electronics' ultrasonic level meters to measure tank levels, but the customer reported significant fluctuations in the level data.
On October 5, 2020, Dayu Electronics technical personnel arrived at the ultrasonic level meter application site in Liyang, Jiangsu. They found that, for management convenience, all the ultrasonic level meters' transmitters were centrally installed in one location, while the transducers were scattered at different tanks. This resulted in varying cable lengths between the transmitters and transducers, with the longest connection running 50–60 meters. The original factory cable was only 15 meters, and the extended cabling caused severe signal attenuation, leading to large fluctuations in the data.
The solution provided by Dayu Electronics' technical team was to install each instrument's transmitter directly on the corresponding tank that needed measurement, rather than centralizing all transmitters. Then, secondary instruments could be used for centralized display, which would restore the data to normal.
