How to Reduce Errors in Dayu Electronic Temperature Sensors
Dayu Electronicstemperature sensors— how can they reduce errors? Here are several suggestions:
1. Installation location of the temperature sensor: The installation location should not be near doors or heating areas. The insertion depth should be at least 8 to 10 times the diameter of the protective tube. Do not run the temperature sensor and power cables in the same conduit to avoid introducing interference that causes errors.
2. Insulation issues of the temperature sensor: If the thermocouple is insulated, but dirt or salt deposits on the protective tube and terminal block cause poor insulation between the thermocouple poles and the furnace wall, this becomes more severe at high temperatures. Not only does this lead to a loss of thermoelectric potential, but it also introduces interference, and the resulting error can sometimes reach up to 100 degrees.
3. Errors due to thermal inertia: Because of the thermal inertia of the thermocouple, the indicated value lags behind the actual temperature change, which is especially pronounced during rapid measurements. Therefore, thermocouples with thinner thermal electrodes and smaller protective tube diameters should be used whenever possible. If the measurement environment permits, the protective tube can even be removed. Due to measurement lag, the amplitude of temperature fluctuations detected by the thermocouple is smaller than the actual furnace temperature fluctuations. The greater the measurement lag, the smaller the amplitude of the thermocouple's fluctuations, and the larger the difference from the actual furnace temperature.
4. Thermal resistance error: At high temperatures, if a layer of coal ash or dust adheres to the protective tube, thermal resistance increases and hinders heat conduction. In this case, the temperature reading will be lower than the true value. Therefore, keep the outside of the thermocouple protective tube clean to reduce errors.
