Measurement Principle of Dayu Electronic Ultrasonic Level Meter
Ultrasonic level meter The working principle is that the transducer (probe) emits high-frequency ultrasonic pulses that are reflected back when they encounter the surface of the measured medium, and part of the reflected echo is received by the same transducer and converted into an electrical signal. The ultrasonic pulse propagates at the speed of sound, and the time interval from transmission to reception of the ultrasonic pulse is proportional to the distance from the transducer to the surface of the measured medium. The relationship between this distance value S, the speed of sound C, and the transmission time T can be expressed by the formula: S = C x T / 2.
Since the transmitted ultrasonic pulse has a certain width, the reflected wave from a small area close to the transducer overlaps with the transmitted wave, making it impossible to identify and measure the distance. This area is called the measurement blind zone. The size of the blind zone depends on the model of the ultrasonic level meter.
Thanks to the advanced microprocessor and the unique EchoDiscovery echo processing technology, the ultrasonic level meter can be applied in various complex working conditions. The transducer is equipped with a built-in temperature sensor, enabling temperature compensation of the measured value.
The ultrasonic transducer uses acoustic matching technology to radiate its transmitting power more effectively, enhancing signal strength and thereby achieving accurate measurement.
