What are the installation precautions for submersible level transmitters?
Dayu ElectronicsThe stability and reliability of submersible level transmitters are closely related to whether users install them correctly and maintain them with careful commissioning. To ensure the normal operation of the instrument, special attention should be paid to the following points during installation:
1. Before installing the sensor, you can set up a stable liquid surface area, such as placing an iron or cement pipe of suitable diameter, with a height greater than the measured liquid level, and drilling some small holes at equal intervals on the pipe.
2. When the container is metal, the sensor's ground wire must be reliably connected to the container. When the container is non-metallic, you can use a metal block, weld the instrument's ground wire to it, and vertically sink the metal block to the bottom of the container.
3. Use a flat hammer weight of appropriate mass, suspend it at the end of the sensor (lead wire), and the soft wire used to tie the sensor should be corrosion-resistant.
4. Determine whether the measured medium has any impact on the sensor's long-term operation. Note that capacitance sensors for detecting conductive liquids are only suitable for liquids with a conductivity of no less than 10~3 s/m, such as tap water, acids, and certain salt solutions.
5. To ensure its sealing integrity, tighten the two outlet screws on the housing and base.
6. When the signal transmission line is long and laid overhead, a four-core shielded cable can be used to prevent lightning and electromagnetic interference. Additionally, if the instrument is installed outdoors, measures should be taken against wind, rain, and sun exposure.
7. The hollow screw lead on the side of the instrument is a four-core wire. Before wiring, it is best to use a multimeter to determine which two wires are for signal transmission and which two are for power, to avoid incorrect connection.
