Common Faults of Electromagnetic Flowmeters
Ultrasonic electromagnetic flowmeters may encounter various faults during production and operation.
First, instrument indication errors caused by faults within the instrument itself, including damage to structural components or electronic components.
Second, faults caused by improper installation environment or non-standard installation, such as insufficient straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the sensor, the measured medium not fully filling the pipe, or electromagnetic interference in the measurement environment.
Since different fault conditions require different solutions, to more accurately quantify faults and to detect and resolve electromagnetic flowmeter faults more quickly, faults are classified into two basic categories based on the time scale of their occurrence: one category is faults that occur during instrument installation and commissioning, and the other is faults that occur after the instrument is put into operation.
