How to Solve Weak Signal Issues in Dayu Electronic Electromagnetic Flowmeters
Dayu ElectronicsUltrasonic electromagnetic flowmeter can operate normally for a long time after installation without maintenance, after which regular maintenance and daily inspections are required. Receiving no signal or a weak signal is a common issue. So how should we address these situations?
1. First, confirm whether the pipe is fully filled with fluid.
2. Carefully select the dense part of the pipe, polish it thoroughly, apply sufficient coupling agent, and install the transducers properly.
3. If the pipe is too close to a wall, you can install the transducers on a diameter with an inclined angle rather than strictly on the horizontal diameter, and use the Z-method for transducer installation.
4. For metal pipes with severe scaling on the inner wall of the electromagnetic flowmeter, tapping can be used to dislodge or crack the scale, but note that this method may sometimes create gaps between the scale and the inner wall, which can actually hinder ultrasonic transmission.
5. Slowly move each transducer near the installation point to search for the signal, to avoid missing the optimal installation point where a stronger signal can be received due to reflection of the ultrasonic beam caused by inner wall scaling or local pipe deformation.
