1. The antenna axis of the radar level meter should be perpendicular to the liquid level reflection surface.
2. Stirring valves inside the tank, adhesive materials on the tank wall, steps, and other objects — if they fall within the signal range of the radar level meter — can generate interfering reflected waves that affect level measurement.
3. For level measurement of vessels with significant liquid surface fluctuation, a level meter equipped with a bypass pipe can be used to reduce the impact of level fluctuation.
4. The horn opening of a horn-type radar level meter must protrude a certain distance (>10mm) beyond the inner surface of the mounting hole. The antenna of a rod-type level meter must extend out of the mounting hole, and the length of the mounting hole must not exceed 100mm. For round or elliptical vessels, the meter should be installed at a distance of 1/2R (where R is the vessel radius) from the center. It must not be installed at the center of the top of a round or elliptical vessel; otherwise, the radar waves, after multiple reflections off the vessel walls, will converge at the center of the vessel top, creating strong interfering waves that can affect measurement accuracy.
