How to Select an Ultrasonic Level Meter for Short Ranges?
Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level meters for short ranges generally refer to those with a measuring range within 2 meters. The choice should be based on the working environment:
1. For open pools or tanks, the blind zone can be ignored because the installation height can be raised to solve the blind zone problem.
2. For closed pools, the installation is usually done by opening a hole on the pool cover and connecting with a flange. In this case, choose an M78×2 probe whenever possible, as some models can achieve a blind zone of 0.20 meters. It is also recommended to use a DN150 flange connection on site, because the inner diameter of the connecting pipe below the flange is larger, making the inner wall less likely to cause interference. The minimum flange size should be DN100.
3. For closed tanks, the probe is typically mounted via a flange at the top. In this case, choose an M78×2 probe whenever possible, as some models can achieve a blind zone of 0.20 meters. The minimum flange size should also be DN100.
