How to Resolve Common Issues with Dayu Electronic Ultrasonic Level Meters at Installation Sites?
How should some common issues encountered during on-site installation of Fuzhou Dayu Electronic ultrasonic level meters be resolved?
1. Interference issues
Grounding treatment: In cases of strong electromagnetic interference, the grounding wire may not fully eliminate the interference. You can connect a separate wire from the black lead of the probe to ground (for two-wire integrated units, connecting the ground wire to the negative terminal of the power supply often works better), or add an isolated power supply to resolve the interference.
The grounding wire should not be too long. If the grounding point is coated with paint or similar coatings, scrape the coating clean to expose bare metal before connecting; otherwise, the grounding effect will be poor. (See Figure 1)
2. Improper probe installation
Resonance phenomenon: When the probe comes into direct contact with a metal bracket or metal flange, resonance occurs, causing the meter to display near full scale even when the water level is very low.
You can use rubber washers to prevent direct contact between the probe and the metal bracket, or use a non-metallic flange. (See Figure 2)
3.Probe installation position too close to the tank wall
If the installation position is too close to the tank wall, the actual water level may change but the meter reading remains constant. This occurs because the measurement is hitting the tank wall. For ranges up to 5 meters, the installation distance from the wall must be no less than 40 cm. In such cases, a guide pipe can be added for measurement. (See Figure 3)
