Ultrasonic level transmitter is a measuring instrument widely used for measuring the levels of sewage, wastewater, rainwater, and lakes. During measurement, ultrasonic pulses are emitted by the sensor, and the sound waves are reflected off the liquid surface before being received by the sensor, which converts them into electrical signals via piezoelectric crystals or magnetostrictive devices. The distance from the sensor to the measured liquid surface is calculated based on the time between transmission and reception of the sound waves. So, what key points should be considered when selecting an ultrasonic level transmitter for complex measurement conditions?
Generally speaking, the key points for selecting a Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level transmitter are as follows:
1. Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level transmitters cannot be used in vacuum or negative pressure applications. This is because ultrasonic wave propagation requires an air medium, and a thin air environment is extremely unfavorable for ultrasonic propagation. Additionally, sound wave attenuation increases, which can lead to severe measurement errors or even the inability to measure.
2. If there are obstacles or equipment inside the container that affect sound wave propagation, the ultrasonic level transmitter is not recommended.
3. Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level transmitters can only be used with media that adequately reflect and propagate sound waves. For media with strong sound wave absorption capabilities, the ultrasonic level transmitter is not suitable.
4. Dayu Electronics ultrasonic level transmitters are generally only applicable within normal temperature and pressure ranges. If the pressure is too high, it can severely inhibit the speed of sound, ultimately affecting measurement accuracy or even preventing measurement altogether. Moreover, the temperature generally should not exceed 100°C. 5. If the measured medium is a volatile liquid, or contains significant amounts of water vapor, dust, bubbles, suspended particles, etc., the ultrasonic level transmitter is not recommended. This is because the sound waves emitted by the probe of the ultrasonic level transmitter will undergo irregular reflection and scattering when encountering such media, preventing the probe from receiving normal signals. Additionally, these media absorb sound waves, causing attenuation and affecting measurement results.
