First, pay attention to the volatility of the medium. When measuring liquids with volatile media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and nitric acid, a large number of small liquid particles will be suspended in the air inside the tank, causing partial scattering of the sound waves emitted by the ultrasonic level meter. When the level drops to a low position, the ultrasonic level meter may not be able to receive the echo. To avoid this, it is recommended that users increase the measurement distance by 30-50% when selecting the measuring range of the explosion-proof ultrasonic level meter. These media are not only volatile but also usually highly corrosive, so it is necessary to consider the anti-corrosion performance of the ultrasonic level meter.
