Ultrasonic level meter features strong anti-interference capability. Upper and lower limit setpoints and online output adjustment can be freely configured, and it comes with on-site display. Analog, switch, and RS485 outputs are selectable for convenient interfacing with related equipment. It is a digital level instrument controlled by a microprocessor.
During measurement, the ultrasonic pulse is emitted by the sensor (transducer). The sound wave is reflected by the liquid surface and then received by the same sensor or an ultrasonic receiver, where it is converted into an electrical signal via piezoelectric crystals or magnetostrictive devices. The distance from the sensor to the measured liquid surface is calculated based on the time between transmission and reception of the sound wave. Since non-contact measurement is adopted, the measured medium is almost unrestricted, making it widely applicable for height measurement of various liquids and solid materials.
Ultrasonic level meter offers excellent chemical resistance. For inorganic compounds—whether acids, bases, or salt solutions—it is virtually unaffected except by strongly oxidizing materials. It is insoluble in almost all solvents at room temperature and can be used with common alkane, hydrocarbon, alcohol, phenol, aldehyde, and ketone media.
