Five Key Points for Accurate Installation of Ultrasonic Level Meters
Ultrasonic level meters are widely used for level measurement in industries such as chemical, water treatment, water conservancy, food, and grain. They offer safety, cleanliness, high accuracy, long service life, stable and reliable operation, easy installation and maintenance, and simple reading.
Many customers who have purchasedDayu Electronics ultrasonic level meters may not know how to install them correctly. Incorrect installation can affect the measurement accuracy of the ultrasonic level meter. Here, the Dayu Electronics team will explain the installation precautions for ultrasonic level meters (also known as ultrasonic level gauges or ultrasonic level indicators):

1. Before installing the ultrasonic level meter, verify that the model (e.g., process pressure, process temperature, chemical compatibility of the medium) meets the on-site environmental requirements to ensure proper operation after installation. For safety, wiring should only be performed with the power disconnected. For explosion-proof models, follow the relevant explosion-proof wiring requirements.
2. When installing wire or cable conduits, ensure proper sealing to prevent water accumulation.
3. In extremely hot or cold locations, especially where ambient temperature may exceed the operating limits of the ultrasonic level meter, install protective shields or insulation to guard against high or low temperatures.
4. Although ultrasonic level meters come with built-in lightning protection, it is recommended to install additional dedicated lightning protection devices on the input/output lines in areas with frequent lightning activity.
5. When installingultrasonic level meters outdoors, install a sunshade to protect them from direct sunlight and extend their service life.
