Doppler Flowmeter Calibration Test at the Metrology Center of the State Oceanic Administration
On December 14, 2018, Dayu Electronics engineers Liu and Lu visited the Metrology Center of Tianjin Oceanic Administration at Jieyuan West Road, Nankai District, Tianjin, to conduct calibration tests on our ultrasonic Doppler flowmeter and single-beam Doppler current profiler (ADCP).

The Tianjin National Oceanic Administration Standard Metrology Center was established in October 1989 with approval from the Central Establishment Committee. It operates directly under the National Oceanic Administration and receives technical guidance from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. It is a professional organization managing national marine standardization, metrology, and quality, and also serves as the National Marine Metrology Station, authorized as a national legal metrological verification institution by the General Administration of Quality Supervision. Additionally, it is a national-level testing institution for scientific and technological achievements, jointly authorized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the General Administration of Quality Supervision. The center's primary functions include overseeing nationwide marine standardization, metrology, and quality technical supervision, providing technical support and assurance for marine economy, management, science, safety, and public service.

At the calibration test site, our engineer Lu was busy in a channel measuring 1.6m wide, 2m high, and approximately 50m long, securing our new Doppler flowmeter probes, conventional Doppler flowmeters, and single-beam Doppler current profilers one by one at designated test positions. The calibration testers from the Metrology Center praised Engineer Lu for his meticulous and serious workmanship, highlighting his professionalism. The scene was filled with laughter and a pleasant atmosphere.

After the Doppler flowmeter was installed, the water level in the channel was raised to a maximum depth of 1 meter for measurement. The lowest flow velocity was 50 cm/s, with measurements taken at every 10 cm increment up to 100 cm/s. Specifically, from 0.6m to 1m water level, measurements were taken for each additional 10 cm rise; at each flow velocity, measurements lasted from 30 to 45 minutes.

To ensure the quality of our products, Dayu Company urged Engineers Liu and Lu to travel a long distance and diligently spend an entire day at the National Oceanic Administration Standard Metrology Center, responding to the support of our new and existing customers with a rigorous work ethic and professional technical requirements. We believe that our spirit of deep exploration and dedicated research will make Dayu increasingly successful and stronger in the field of ultrasound!
