Wireless Ultrasonic Open Channel Flowmeter for Channel Flow Measurement in Locations Without Power Supply
Xichang City is a major grain-producing county in China. The Xichang Municipal Water Resources Bureau recently installed 30 solar-powered wireless ultrasonic open channel flowmeters as part of the first phase of the water pricing reform.

The purpose of the installation is as follows:
1. Measure the real-time water consumption of each channel and transmit the data to the municipal water resources bureau's platform, allowing the bureau to allocate water based on water usage and annual rainfall.
2. Charge for irrigation water based on measured volume to reduce waste.
3. Guide changes in agricultural crop selection based on water consumption in each area at different times and local rainfall.
The solar-powered wireless ultrasonic open channel flowmeter is suitable for channel flow measurement in locations without a power supply.
