New Breakthrough in Deep-Well Casting Aluminum Leak Detection: Dayu Electronics Hydrophone Array Achieves Precise Positioning
In deep-well casting production, aluminum liquid temperatures exceed 700°C, and once a leak occurs, it can easily trigger explosions or fires. Traditional detection methods rely on manual inspections or single-point sensors, which are difficult to cover the full length of long aluminum rods, leading to high miss-detection risks. Dayu Electronics has introduced an aluminum liquid leak detection system based on high-precision hydrophones, providing robust safety protection for production operations.

At a specific customer site, a typical deep-well casting line features 142 rods of 12-meter-long aluminum per well. Detection points must be independently deployed on each rod with strict 300mm spacing to achieve per-rod high-precision monitoring. The Dayu Electronics technical team adopted a distributed hydrophone array solution: 142 miniature hydrophones are installed at equal intervals along the aluminum rods, utilizing acoustic sensing technology to capture the specific frequency vibration signals generated by aluminum liquid leaks in real time. The system incorporates intelligent algorithms that effectively filter mechanical noise from the casting process, accurately identify leak characteristic waves, and automatically lock onto the leak location.

The core advantage of this solution lies in its "full coverage + high sensitivity": the hydrophones feature a heat-resistant encapsulated design, allowing them to be attached directly to the surface of the aluminum rods, adaptable to high-temperature and high-humidity environments. The distributed layout eliminates detection blind spots, ensuring even minor leaks are instantly detected. Combined with an edge computing module, the system response time is <200ms, and it supports integration with production line emergency stop devices to minimize accident losses.

After prolonged on-site operation and verification, the system has demonstrated exceptional performance in multiple simulated tests, achieving extremely high positioning accuracy and meeting the precision requirements set in the design, significantly enhancing the intrinsic safety level of the production line. Dayu Electronics will continue to deepen its focus on industrial safety monitoring, providing more intelligent and reliable solutions for deep-well casting and other industries.
