When to Use the Integrated (Compact) Type and When to Use the Split Type?

The integrated (compact) type is suitable for the following situations:

①Sites where on-site reading is required and no one needs to climb to view, such as ground-level water tanks or buried tanks.

②Equipment where on-site reading is not required, and only the 4-20 mA or 485 signal needs to be transmitted.

③Under the above two conditions, the measured medium must also be non-highly corrosive.

The split type is suitable for the following situations:

①Equipment such as tanks, silos, etc., where personnel need to climb for observation. The sensor of the ultrasonic level meter is placed on top of the tank, while the main unit is placed at the bottom for easy viewing.

②Although climbing is not required, the measurement point is not easily accessible for personnel, or it is a hazardous location.

③The measured medium is highly corrosive. Even if a corrosion-resistant integrated ultrasonic level meter is used and the probe can withstand medium corrosion, the corrosive vapors from the medium can evaporate and penetrate into the transmitter part, causing circuit corrosion.
