Safeguarding Railway Safety: Fuzhou Dayu Electronics Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Wheel Chock Anti-Rollaway Monitoring System
At railway freight yards or temporary stopping points, the risk of train carriages rolling away, known as "slope creeping," cannot be underestimated. Once braking fails or slope effects cause vehicles to move slowly, collision accidents can easily occur. Therefore, whenever a train stops, on-site workers install an anti-rollaway device called a "wheel chock" under the wheels. Now, Fuzhou Dayu Electronics integrates ultrasonic distance measurement technology into the wheel chock design, endowing this traditional tool with intelligent monitoring capabilities.

Core Principle: Precision Distance Measurement to Sense Sub-Millimeter Changes
The core of the smart wheel chock lies in real-time monitoring of the relative position between the wheel and the chock. We have integrated a high-performance ultrasonic distance sensor inside the chock, specially designed to measure the distance from the probe's emitting surface to the wheel. The measuring range is precisely locked within 30 cm. Once the train moves abnormally, causing a significant change in distance reading, the system will judge it as "rollaway" and trigger a safety alarm, thereby effectively avoiding the occurrence of major safety accidents.

Technical Highlights: Extremely Small Blind Zone and Multi-Transducer Coordination
Addressing the narrow and complex installation space at the bottom of the wheel chock, Dayu Electronics has overcome technical difficulties by compressing the sensor's measurement blind zone to 30-50mm, ensuring accurate data capture even at extremely close distances.
To achieve comprehensive, blind-spot-free monitoring, each smart wheel chock is equipped with 3 ultrasonic transducers. Each transducer operates in a "self-transmit, self-receive" mode, and through multi-point coordinated detection, the reliability and fault tolerance of the data are greatly enhanced.

Integrated Design: Compact Solution Empowers Intelligent Security
This smart wheel chock adopts a highly integrated design concept. Inside the sturdy "body" of the chock, it not only accommodates 3 precision ultrasonic transducers but also perfectly integrates a long-life battery and a LoRa wireless transmission module. This compact, integrated design ensures easy portability and installation for on-site workers, while also enabling real-time wireless transmission of monitoring data, truly achieving "install and connect, alarm on anomaly."

Dayu Electronics is always committed to integrating advanced ultrasonic technology into various industrial safety scenarios. From water conservancy monitoring to railway security, we use precise data to safeguard the safe operation of national infrastructure!
