In the narrow, damp, and even corrosive environments of rainwater and sewage manholes, ordinary instruments struggle to maintain long-term stable operation. The three ultrasonic sensors we selected precisely address these pain points:
Ultrasonic sludge level meter: Specifically measures the thickness of sediment at the bottom of manholes. Excessive sediment buildup reduces effective capacity and can clog pipes. With this device, you can know when to schedule sediment removal rather than waiting for a blockage and emergency repairs.

Ultrasonic Doppler flow meter: Installed inside the pipe to monitor flow velocity and instantaneous flow rate in real time. Combined with water level data, it can calculate cumulative flow, helping determine whether the rainwater pipe network is approaching full capacity, or if there are leaks or reverse flows.

Rain gauge: Measures rainfall intensity and cumulative rainfall on-site. By correlating rainfall data with pipe network flow, it can predict in advance whether storage tanks are about to exceed capacity.

With additional auxiliary parameters such as temperature and water level, the entire operational status of the rainwater and sewage collection system becomes almost 'transparent.'
Building on precise sensing, the system introduces a powerful PLC intelligent control module. The PLC control cabinet can intelligently coordinate pumps and water treatment equipment within the system based on real-time sludge level, water level, and flow data. For example, it can automatically activate pumps to discharge water when the water level reaches a preset threshold, or trigger a sludge removal alert if sediment thickness exceeds limits. This intelligent linkage control not only ensures efficient and energy-saving operation of the rainwater system but also effectively prevents common faults such as pump dry-running and equipment overload, significantly extending the service life of hardware facilities.

To break down data silos, the solution establishes a convenient terminal management system. Managers can view real-time system operational status from anywhere via PC or mobile app. If abnormal data is detected or equipment malfunctions occur, the system immediately triggers a multi-level early warning mechanism, notifying relevant personnel via SMS, voice calls, and app push notifications, thus promptly eliminating safety hazards and minimizing property loss.
Additionally, the system supports in-depth mining and export of historical data, operational logs, and alarm records on yearly, monthly, and daily bases, and can automatically generate various visual reports such as spreadsheets, ladder diagrams, and trend charts, providing robust data support for long-term refined management and scientific decision-making in urban water affairs.
