Dayu Electronics: Advantages and Application Scenarios of the Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Velocity Meter
In scenarios such as urban pipe network operation and maintenance, water conservancy and hydrological monitoring, and sewage discharge control, precise flow measurement directly affects the scientific accuracy of water volume statistics, flood warning, and operation and maintenance decision-making. The Dayu Electronics Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Velocity Meter, based on the acoustic Doppler principle, is specifically designed for non-contact flow field monitoring. It does not disturb the natural flow state and achieves simultaneous high-precision measurement of flow velocity, water depth, and water temperature. It is an integrated hydrological monitoring device suitable for multiple scenarios.

The device features an integrated structure design with a main body protection rating of IP68, allowing for long-term submersion in water. It is adaptable to various installation environments such as channels, rivers, and pipelines. The main body is made of corrosion-resistant materials, capable of meeting long-term operation requirements in complex water quality conditions.
The power supply and communication design are field-adaptable, supporting wide-voltage power input and equipped with an RS485 communication interface that is compatible with the MODBUS standard protocol. It can directly interface with PLCs, data acquisition instruments, and monitoring platforms, enabling real-time data transmission and remote management. The standard configuration includes a dedicated cable with an internal air tube, ensuring stable underwater operation. The cable length can be customized based on field requirements to accommodate different installation distances.

The Dayu Electronics Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Velocity Meter has a wide range of application scenarios, including irrigation channels, reservoir drainage channels, hydropower station spillways, natural streams, municipal water supply and drainage pipe networks, and sewage pipelines. It provides stable and reliable flow monitoring, offering precise data support for flood disaster warning, sewage discharge control, water loss monitoring, and fisheries and water resources research.

To ensure measurement accuracy, the following installation guidelines should be followed: The minimum water level at the installation location must be at least 5 cm above the top of the sensor to avoid exposure. The device should be mounted horizontally in a region with stable flow, avoiding turbulent sections and recirculation zones, and should be free from obstructions. The cable should be protected to avoid direct impact from water flow.
