Project Overview: This project involves feed level monitoring for Twin Pig Feed Co., Ltd. in Dechang County, Xichang City, Sichuan Province. It is used to measure the material level height in hoppers during the addition of ingredients and during the discharge and bagging of feed. To prevent over-discharge during the filling of the hopper, effective hopper level monitoring is performed in advance. When the discharge reaches a certain high level, an alarm is triggered and discharge automatically stops. The material level during hopper filling is monitored in real time (the installation position is selected directly above the hopper, avoiding obstructions). The level meter at the front end collects real-time level data and transmits it via 4-20 mA wired output to the PLC control cabinet in the control room. High and low level alarms are set, and the alarm contact switches are output to interlock with the discharge valve, automatically closing and opening the discharge valve in a timely manner, improving production efficiency.
Product Selection: Based on site conditions and customer requirements, the IP68 ultrasonic level meter manufactured by Fuzhou Dayu Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. was selected. The sensor is hermetically sealed and potted to achieve IP68 dustproof and waterproof performance. The integrated cable is directly connected to the on-site PLC control cabinet for collection of front-end level, empty height, and ambient temperature data.
The IP68 ultrasonic level meter has no display and can be commissioned and set via Bluetooth connection with a mobile phone. It offers selectable 4-20 mA or RS485 output. Product specifications are shown in the figure:
