Application Practice of Ultrasonic Level Meter in River Sewage Treatment System [Dayu Electronics]
In the process control of river sewage treatment systems, precise level monitoring is the core link to ensure stable operation of facilities. The ultrasonic level meter, with its technical advantages of non-contact measurement, has become a key monitoring device for treatment pools, grid channels, and regulating tanks.

The device adopts the time-difference ranging principle. The probe is installed above the monitored pool and emits high-frequency ultrasonic pulses downward. The pulses are reflected back to the probe after contacting the water surface. The instrument accurately calculates the round-trip time of the sound wave and, combined with a sound speed compensation algorithm, converts it into real-time level height. This measurement method does not require direct contact with sewage, effectively avoiding issues such as medium corrosion and impurity adhesion, greatly reducing equipment maintenance frequency and improving long-term operational stability.

Based on real-time transmission of monitoring data, the system can achieve three core control functions. The first is pump and valve linkage control: according to the level threshold, the lift pump is automatically started or stopped, precisely preventing risks such as pool overflow or dry operation of the water pump. For application scenarios with a well depth of 5 meters, a 0-5m range specification can be selected, paired with 4-20mA + R2 signal output, suitable for industrial-grade data transmission needs. The second is process flow optimization: relying on real-time level data, the inlet flow rate is adjusted to ensure stable influent load for subsequent processes such as sedimentation and biochemical treatment, thereby improving sewage treatment efficiency. The third is safety warning and protection: when the level exceeds the preset upper or lower limits, the device automatically triggers an alarm mechanism to remind operation and maintenance personnel to handle the situation promptly, avoiding facility failures caused by abnormal working conditions.

The device is suitable for an operating temperature range of -20℃ to +60℃ and supports 220VAC power supply, meeting the complex working condition requirements of outdoor and industrial sites. The ultrasonic level meter, with its precise measurement performance and reliable operation, provides solid technical support for the automation and refined control of river sewage treatment systems, helping to improve the overall efficiency and compliance level of sewage treatment.
