Dayu Electronics Sound Velocity and Attenuation Measuring Instrument: Measuring Sound Velocity, Acoustic Impedance, Attenuation Changes, and Operating Procedure
Measurement principle of sound velocity and attenuation coefficient:
The sound velocity and attenuation coefficient measuring instrument uses the insertion-substitution method. In the test tank, the material sample to be measured is placed on the plane-wave beam path between the transmitting transducer and the receiving transducer, replacing an equal length of water. The sound velocity in the material is determined from the change in propagation time of the acoustic pulse signal after the sample is inserted, and the attenuation coefficient is determined from the change in received signal amplitude when samples of different thicknesses are inserted.
