Intelligent Water Management: Dayu Electronic Ultrasonic Open Channel Flow Meter Supports Water Resource Dispatch in Qinzhou
Ultrasonic Open Channel Flow Meter Applied to Channel Flow Monitoring Project
1. Project Background
Qinzhou City, Guangxi, is located in the southern coastal region of China, with abundant water resources. Water conservancy facilities are of great significance to local economic development. In recent years, with the acceleration of urbanization, the demand for water resources has continued to increase. To ensure the rational use of water resources and improve the operational efficiency of water conservancy facilities, the local government decided to conduct flow monitoring on the channels.
2. Project Requirements
Real-time monitoring of channel flow to provide data support for water resource dispatch;
High accuracy, meeting water industry monitoring standards;
Adaptation to harsh outdoor environments, with waterproof, dustproof, and anti-interference performance;
Easy installation and convenient maintenance.
3. Solution
Based on project requirements, we recommend using the ultrasonic open channel flow meter for monitoring. The ultrasonic open channel flow meter offers the following advantages:
Non-contact measurement, unaffected by liquid temperature, pressure, conductivity, and other factors, with high accuracy;
IP68 protection rating, suitable for harsh outdoor environments;
Easy installation, no pipe cutting required, and no impact on the site environment;
Convenient maintenance, supporting remote debugging and upgrades.
4. Implementation Process
Site survey: The project team conducted a field survey of the Qinzhou open channel to understand parameters such as channel shape, dimensions, and flow velocity;
Equipment selection: Based on the survey results, the appropriate model of ultrasonic open channel flow meter was selected;
Equipment installation: Ultrasonic flow meters were installed on both sides of the channel, ensuring the probe is kept at a certain distance from the water surface;
Data transmission: Monitoring data is transmitted in real time to the Water Conservancy Bureau data center via wireless transmission modules;
Data analysis: The monitoring data is processed and analyzed to provide a basis for water resource dispatch.

Ultrasonic Open Channel Flow Meter has achieved remarkable results in the water conservancy project in Qinzhou, Guangxi, providing strong support for water resource management in China.
