Ultrasonic Technology Safeguards Harbor Safety with Precision Distance Measurement to Prevent Hazards![Dayu Electronics]
In the fields of marine development and water conservancy engineering, the safety of underwater facilities is of utmost importance. To ensure the stability of underwater pile foundations, a large port introduced ultrasonic underwater distance measurement sensors. These sensors are installed at specific underwater positions and periodically emit ultrasonic waves toward the pile foundations.

When the ultrasonic waves encounter a pile foundation, they are reflected back and received by the sensor. By measuring the time difference between transmission and reception, combined with the speed of sound in water, the distance between the sensor and the pile foundation can be precisely calculated.

The M80 underwater distance measurement sensor (as shown below), manufactured by Fuzhou Dayu Electronics, is widely used in pile foundation inspection.

During a routine inspection, the sensor detected an abnormal change in the distance between the pile foundation and the sensor in a certain area. Upon further examination, it was found that the pile foundation had suffered structural damage due to long-term seawater erosion. Thanks to the timely detection by the ultrasonic underwater distance measurement sensor, the port management took swift action, averting potential safety accidents. It not only enables real-time monitoring but also provides efficient and accurate feedback on the condition of underwater facilities, playing a vital role in ensuring their safety and greatly enhancing the safety and reliability of port operations.
