Open Channel Flow Meter Inspection at Zhangpu Wastewater Treatment Plant

 The Zhangpu Wastewater Treatment Plant recently called to report that an open channel flow meter was not working and displaying zero readings. Our company dispatched an engineer to investigate the cause of the problem. Upon arriving at the site, it was found that the probe had not been installed according to the installation requirements and had been placed arbitrarily, causing intermittent data readings; this was due to abnormal signal transmission. After inspection, the instrument itself was found to be in good condition. The engineer repositioned the probe in a fixed location, and the data began displaying normally. However, when processing the backend data on-site, it was discovered that the staff had made a parsing error and failed to understand the data format. The communication protocol of the open channel flow meter had been incorrectly set to that of a level meter. After providing guidance to the backend staff on correct parsing, the data was uploaded successfully.
