Product Selection Introduction:
Multi-beam underwater ultrasonic ranging sensor, utilizing the ultrasonic self-transmitting and self-receiving ranging principle for multi-directional ranging. The software implements a polling test method of multiple transmitters and one receiver, allowing ranging in multiple directions and coordinated multi-directional testing to achieve underwater obstacle avoidance and ranging. The sensor can store detected data in the internal chip registers and communicates with the host computer via the MODBUS protocol, allowing adjustment between passive and active upload modes.
Aluminum ingot cooling pool specifications: length 16 m × width 4 m

Customer requirement: measure the height of aluminum chips accumulated after falling when aluminum ingots enter the pool.

The aluminum chips will fall from all sides of the pool to the bottom, and the exact height is uncertain.

The accumulation range of aluminum chips is around the bottom perimeter, with a width not exceeding 1.5 meters.
Based on the above customer requirements, since the drop location of the aluminum chips is not specified and the accumulation thickness is uncertain, and the chip size is also variable, we recommend using the eight-beam underwater ranging system to measure the accumulation height from eight directions around the perimeter.
Product selection: Split-type eight-beam ranging and obstacle avoidance system with a range within 3 meters. The product consists of 8 300KHz transducers in 304 stainless steel, with 30-meter cables × 8, transmission angle 22°, power supply 10.8~26VDC with reverse polarity protection, rated operating current ≤100mA (24VDC), RS485 output, operating temperature -20~60°C.

Approximate installation positions:

Based on the transducer's maximum transmission angle of 22°, we can essentially cover the entire bottom measurement area. According to the ranging sensor's fixed measurement range settings for each position to obstacles, when the measured distance is less than the set value, an alarm signal is triggered. At that point, the user can clean the bottom aluminum chips.
