Measurement Principle and Product Features of the IP68 Ultrasonic Water Level Meter

Dayu Electronics ultrasonic water level meter is mainly used to detect sewage, river water, and clean water, and can measure the distance from the sensor emitting surface to the water surface. The product's protection rating reaches IP68, allowing it to be submerged at depths of up to 100 meters in non-corrosive water for long periods without damage.

　1. Measurement Principle of the Dayu Electronics IP68 Ultrasonic Water Level Meter

　The ultrasonic pulse emitted by the ultrasonic probe propagates through the air to the measured water surface, reflects off it, and then returns through the air to the probe. Since both the transmission and reception times are known, the distance from the probe emitting surface to the water surface can be calculated using the formula: (time × speed of sound) ÷ 2.
