Dual-Frequency Transducer Customization + In-House Mold: Fish Finder Cost Reduction Solution by 66% [Dayu Electronics]
The customer originally planned to use commercially available fish finder transducers to develop a baiting fish finder, but the module cost exceeded the budget by over 50%. After technical evaluation, a customized cost-reduction solution was proposed:
1. Division of labor: the customer independently developed the ABS housing mold (withstands 5m water pressure, single mold cost <15 RMB), while we provide 28kHz/120kHz dual-frequency transducers and potting services.
2. Acoustic optimization: customized piezoelectric ceramics (PZT-5H material, resonant frequency tolerance ±1kHz), achieving a source level of 195dB@1m after potting, with a 30% increase in detection range.
3. Cost comparison: transducer module cost reduced from 280 RMB to 95 RMB, with the overall device BOM controlled within 210 RMB.

Implementation Progress
? The customer completed trial production of 3 housing samples, and we simultaneously delivered the custom transducers.
? Laboratory testing verified: 45m detection depth (nominal 40m), 0.8cm resolution, temperature rise ≤8°C over 72 hours.
? The customer is conducting outdoor field tests, focusing on verifying dual-band anti-interference capability and false alarm rate.
Key Technical Points
? Mold acoustic window machined according to our 3D data package (wall thickness tolerance ±0.2mm).
? Potting process includes vacuum degassing (0.08MPa/15min) and staged curing (25°C/24h + 80°C/4h).
