Project Overview: This project is a discharge flow monitoring project in a certain area of Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. The goal is to achieve intelligent discharge flow monitoring and management, ecological water balance control, and advance preparation for summer flood disasters. Water diversion management enables better and more timely flood control and ecological water environment balance management. Real-time water level and flow monitoring of the quantitative discharge from a power station in a certain area of Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, allows the actual water level and flow data of the on-site channel to be transmitted to the backend server for viewing by relevant local departments, enabling more timely response actions.

Product Selection: Based on the owner's budget, measurement requirements, and on-site inspection, it was determined that this project would use the Ultrasonic Open Channel Flowmeter without Weir/Flume (4G Wireless Transmission Type) manufactured by Fuzhou Dayu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. to achieve front-end data measurement and transmission (through the backend server sub-account opened by Fuzhou Dayu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. for the owner, real-time water level, instantaneous flow, and cumulative flow data can be remotely viewed via mobile phone or computer).

Power Supply: Since there is no available power source on site, a solar power supply system was selected to provide a 12V DC power supply for the Ultrasonic Open Channel Flowmeter without Weir/Flume (GPRS Wireless Transmission Type).

Note: If the probe is not fixed securely and shakes, it will affect measurement. The probe must be re-secured to ensure no shaking or vibration, and it must be installed vertically. The probe's emission angle should be fully within the channel bottom width.
Note: For sites without a weir/flume open channel, as shown in the figure, it is recommended to add a baffle at the outlet (baffle height about half of the channel height) to block the water. When the water rises above the baffle, it flows out naturally, creating a natural flow in the entire channel, which improves flow measurement accuracy.
