Dayu Electronics Integrated Ultrasonic Level Meter 4-20mA Signal Transmission Specification
Dayu Electronics Integrated Ultrasonic Level Meter 4-20mA Signal Transmission Specification. In industrial automated level monitoring systems, the signal transmission stability of an integrated ultrasonic level meter directly determines the reliability of data acquisition. Based on rigorous laboratory testing and years of field application experience, Dayu Electronics has established clear selection and application specifications for the 4-20mA two-wire signal transmission of this product, providing users with a scientific and rigorous reference.

Prerequisites: Electromagnetic Interference-Free Environment
The transmission distances provided in this document are based on an ideal electromagnetic environment, which must meet the following three conditions:
The power supply itself does not generate electromagnetic interference;
No external interference is coupled onto the output signal wiring;
There are no radiated electromagnetic interference sources in the air.
Under these conditions, the effective signal transmission distance is mainly determined by the cable specification: For transmission distances up to 100 meters, a 2×0.5 mm² shielded cable can be used; for distances up to 200 meters, a 2×1.0 mm² shielded cable is recommended; for distances up to 300 meters, a 2×1.5 mm² shielded cable is recommended; for distances up to 400 meters, a 2×2.5 mm² shielded cable is required. For transmission scenarios exceeding 400 meters, there is currently no supporting experimental data, and direct application is not advised.

On-Site Precautions
Even when using the recommended cable gauge, the 4-20mA signal line should be routed separately from power cables and parallel runs should be avoided.
The shield should be grounded at one end only (typically at the control room side) to prevent ground loop interference.
If strong interference sources such as variable frequency drives or high-power motors are present on site, the transmission distance should be shortened as appropriate, or a current isolator should be used.
The Dayu Electronics integrated ultrasonic level meter comes standard with a stable and reliable 4-20mA output.
